•&²Ô²ú²õ±è;Liza Lucion, of Canadian Global Immigration Consulting Services in Vancouver, British Columbia, had their licence permanently revoked following findings of professional misconduct by the Discipline Committee. The committee found that the RCIC failed to adequately communicate with their clients, failed to file the applications they had been retained to prepare, submitted applications with incorrect information, and filed multiple applications which had not been reviewed and approved by their clients. The committee also found the RCIC threatened clients with lawsuits or to have clients removed from Canada if they complained about the quality of their service or made unfavorable statements on social media. In addition, the RCIC misrepresented themselves as a lawyer, continued to engage in immigration consulting while suspended and failed to advise all clients of the suspension. The RCIC was in a conflict of interest when they represented both the employer and employees and entered into service agreements which improperly required the employees to pay the labour market impact assessment (LMIA) fees. The RCIC also put their own interests as a co-owner of a construction company ahead of the interests of the clients. The RCIC also inappropriately disclosed other clients’ personal information. The RCIC is ordered to pay a fine of $70,000 and pay costs to the College in the amount of $83,000.
